Miss Shawna Miss Shawna is from good ‘ol El Paso Texas. She started studying dance at an early age by watching the “hip” dance moves from a show called The Mickey Mouse Club. Her career began in the living room in front of the tv to the audience of Mom and Dad. Her Mom saw her passion and signed her up for classes at a professional studio. Throughout her studies she focused on: jazz, ballet, modern. tap, clogging and hip hop. Shawna performed in numerous dance competitions and won the dancer of the year award from the Fusion Dance Company. Miss Shawna has traveled all across the United States training in dance including the River Woodbury Dance Company in Utah, The Broadway Dance Center in NYC and the dance program at the University of New Mexico. In 2001, she followed her heart and moved to Orlando, Florida to make her dreams come true. Shawna was asked to be a part of the dance company for Walt Disney World Entertainment. Her many roles included Cinderella, Mary Poppins and lead dancer in countless shows and parades. Once Shawna had conquered the Mouse she headed out west to Los Angeles! Today she performs regularly with the students at Creation Station and with the Muse Project where she performs with fellow teacher Miss Susan. Shawna is thrilled to be sharing her love and passion for dance and makes it a priority that learning is FUN!!
