KARATE

Karate is an ancient Asian Art of self-defense perfectly suited for today’s youth. Our program is specifically designed for children ages 3 1/2 – 14 years of age. Many parents are concerned that their child will go around kicking friends and family…or even become a bully. Quite the reverse! Our classes emphasize self-control as part of the training. The children will practice moves without contact upon each other. The attitude of self-confidence and respect from mastering their techniques helps them to develop a healthy self-esteem. It is our goal to help each child reach their full potential. Our aim is to challenge each student as individuals – to help each child to overcome challenges and obstacles. We like to see student’s improve both on and off the karate room mat. For some students, strength and coordination is an issue. Other students might need to learn patience in their desire to achieve belt levels. At every belt level, it is up to the student’s instructor to decide if the student has reached their full potential for that belt. Come find out why we are considered one of the best programs in Los Angeles!!!

INTERMEDIATE KARATE

(Yellow Belt with Stripe and Purple Belt)

This 50 minute intermediate level class is a combination of Korean styles of martial arts called Tang Soo Do and Tae Kwon Do. The physical, as well as, mental benefits of our classes are profound and numerous. Our classes improve your child’s stamina, flexibility, strength, balance, and coordination while they learn to kick, block, and punch. They will learn about setting goals and the discipline needed to reach them. Their successes will give them confidence to take on new challenges. In the beginning the children will practice moves without contact with one another – shadow boxing in a sense. To test for more advanced belt levels it is up to a student’s instructor to decide if the student has reached their full potential before testing.
